WOW! Woke up to a winter wonderland today! Just shy of one foot of snow. Just enough to get you in the spirit. I picked up two bales of cedar and began the transition from harvest to Christmas.
Christmas is my most favorite time of year. On the most part people are friendly and have a giving spirit. Goodness seems to be all around. Some of my most fondest memories are at Christmas. Singing The Twelve Days of Christmas with my aunt, uncle and cousins on our way back from my Great-Grandma Davis' home in Detroit to my Grandma Westers for our family Christmas. Staying up waaaaay past my bedtime as my mother visited with the other side of the family into the wee hours of the night. I was building some pretty amazing memories with my cousins 'Buddy' and Jessica that we all still hold dear. At the time presents were pretty important, but I only remember a few presents I received, but I mostly remember playing pool at my aunt and uncles. I remember as a teenager walking around with my bestest friend/cousin sharing which boy we hoped had crushes on us and how we knew one day Jon Bon Jovi would would finally marry us.
Now that I'm all grown up, my Christmas wishes have changed significantly. Happiest, Health and Joy seem to top the list most years. It is important to build memories with those that we love.
I love the glitter and shining lights of Christmas. I love to decorate and make my home feel warm and cozy. Comfortable items seem to be what I crave this time of year. A cup of hot cocoa with my fuzzy slippers and warm sherpa blanket watching White Christmas for the millionth time. Slipping on a warm pair of gloves, a comfy lined hat and all to worn boots to visit my family. Stuck away safely in the back seat of our family car a just right size gift bag with things that make my visit kind and appreciated. Just a little knick-knack to let them know I thought of them them before arriving.
I am now stocking this little bitty store with all of these things. Thoughtful and warm. Things that make your home just a bit more merry and bright. Gifts that you WANT to give. We will have all of the things that makes you happy, Warm blankets, candles, soaps, one of kind handcrafted gifts and of course Christmas home décor. Not over done, just just-right.
Stop by today and maybe catch Santa's helper getting things done.
